Deleting your account
You can delete your Egonex account from inside the app:
- On the home screen, tap the button in the top-left corner to open the side menu.
- Tap the gear icon at the bottom of the side menu to open Settings.
- Tap General.
- At the top of the page, tap the row showing your email address (or username) to open Account.
- At the bottom of the page, tap Delete Account.
- Enter your Current Password if you are asked for it, then tick “I understand this can’t be undone after 30 days.” The other box, “Keep an anonymous copy for research”, is optional.
- Tap Delete Account to confirm. The button becomes available after a 10-second countdown.
If you signed in with Google or Apple, you won’t be asked for a password.
You’re signed out on every device right away, and your profile and posts are hidden from everyone. People you’ve messaged can still see those messages, but you’ll appear as a deleted user. You then have 30 days to change your mind — just sign in again and everything comes back. After 30 days the account is deleted for good. Records of your orders and any payment disputes are kept for 7 years after they close.
